Gunasheela Surgical and Maternity Hospital is first in South India to deliver an IVF baby in 1988 and from then onwards with continuous technology upgrading to keep the hospital at par with global standards and with the vast experience and knowledge, today Gunasheela stand as the go to place for all infertility related problems from across India and few foreign countries.
Gunasheela Surgical and Maternity Hospital will turn 50 shortly and will be celebrating its Golden Jubilee. To reinforce the achievements on this long eventful journey, GSMH intends to reimagine a new image for its facility on Dewan Madhava Rao Road, Basavanagudi.
Gunasheela Surgical and Maternity Hospital is calling for ideas through a competition to present a new language to the façade of its facility and the exterior realm of the hospital. The proposals shall reinforce the stature of GSMH as a pioneer. The designs shall also reflect the commitment and sensitivity to the environment.
The Competition will be held in Two Stages. The first stage is open to Architecture students from all colleges. Five shortlisted entries from First Stage will be selected to provide detail designs in the second stage.
Two Prizes will be awarded for top two entries. The cash award for the First Prize is Rs. 75,000. The cash award for the Second Prize is Rs25,000. The other three shortlisted entries will be eligible for a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 each.
The criteria for selection of entries will be outstanding nature of ideas suggested, relevance of design to the existing site context, suitability for implementation.
Submissions for the First Stage include representation of the concept, translating the idea into the existing façade, detailed layout of the exterior realm, supporting drawings, material suggestions, 3D visualisation of the idea.
Submissions shall be made through Two A1 size sheets in PDF format along with a brief
write-up of 200 words.
